Jungle Queen

Viet spotted it on at the bottom of the TV tower transect. It is the largest one we have seen yet. You can see that it's right wing is severly damaged. Lien said it was probably from the wind. It's fine but just flies a little more slowly.

Hi Ms.Winzeler, I hope that you are having fun over there. I was wondering how do you identify the butterfly? Also when you identfy it do you take it to a lab and then let it go or do you identify it and then let it free?

Hey Ms.Winzerler. How is Vietnam? Is the weather different from here? How many butterflies have you seen so far? That's so sad that alot of dogs and cats are walking around without a home. Well the butterfly looks pretty damaged. Do the wings grow back or do they just stay injured? Is there anyway to repair the wings? Are Lien Viet and Ahn hard do understand? We cant wait for you to get back so you can tell us all about Vietnam. I am so exited to hear what you have to say about the butterflies. Also all of the food that you have tried. I bet things are very different there like the TV and internet reception. Do they have normal stores and cars like we do? Or markets and boats. Or do they just walk? Are the people very friendly there? I am so exited to hear about your trip. It's very strange having a sub in the classroom because nothing is really the same. It's really sad that they eat dogs. I would probably get sick. Do they eat any bugs there? I know it's a weird question but i read some things about eating bugs so i was just curious. Are there alot of scary and weird looking bugs in Tam Dao? Like things we would probably never see here. I cant wait to do the weather project it sounds and looks very fun. Well i hope your having alot of fun and we cant wait until you get back!

Because that butterflies brake their wings in the wind, does that mean that butterflies don't offen come out in strong winds?

Hey Ms. Winzeler its Travis I saw how cool and pretty the Jungle Queen was and was wondering when you come back could you describe the coolest and your favorite butterfly just to like tell us the colors it was. Or if it would be easier to take a picture of it but don't get in trouble if your not allowed to

Don't over work youself and have fun!!!:)
